The rules every page on this site follows: where facts may come from, how a second editor checks them, how predictions and expected prices are labelled, and when a page is updated.

This page sets out the rules every page on the site follows. They exist so that a reader can check anything we write, and so that the two editors who write the site apply the same standard to every operator and every sport.

Sources we accept
For operators: the operator's own terms and conditions, its help centre, its cashier and responsible gambling pages, and the public licence registers of the authorities that licensed it. Each fact carries the clause number and the date we read it. Reviews, forums and other comparison sites are not sources for operator facts, however often they are repeated.
For sports: the official sites of the leagues, governing bodies and tournaments for fixtures, formats, venues and results, and established sports media where an official source does not publish the information. Each page that states a date or a result lists where it comes from.
If a fact cannot be found in a current source, it is removed or marked as not stated.
The second-editor check
Every page has an author and an editor, and both are named on the page. The editor opens each cited document and checks the figure and the clause, or the fixture and the date, before the page goes live. Pages drafted with the help of research assistants go through the same check and an automated one: banned claims, unsupported figures and dead links stop a page from being published.
Predictions, odds and opinions
League and tournament pages include our predictions. They follow three rules:
- Every prediction is labelled as our view.
- Expected prices are estimates of where the market will open, labelled as estimates, never presented as an operator's quote.
- Nothing is sold, and no prediction comes with a promise.
What we will not publish
- claims that an operator accepts a country when its own list does not say so
- invented experience: we report the one test made with our own money and no other
- unofficial streams or ways around an operator's country restrictions
- pressure: countdowns, invented scarcity or promises of winnings
Updates and dates
The date at the top of a page is the date its content last changed. Operator facts are re-read when an operator changes its terms and on a regular review; sports pages are updated as the season moves on. Changes that alter a fact a reader may have relied on are listed on the corrections page.

Every operator we rate is compared on the main page, where the betting sites with no ID verification are sorted by when ID checks start and how much they pay out.
Can operators pay to change a rating?
No. Ratings come from the five checks in each operator's own terms. The link behind the buttons has no effect on the ratings, and the ratings have no effect on the link.
How often are pages updated?
Operator facts are re-read when terms change or on a regular review. League and tournament pages are updated as the season moves. The date at the top of a page changes only when its content changes.
Are the predictions guaranteed?
No prediction is. Each one is labelled as our view, and expected prices are labelled as estimates, not quotes.
