Maren Holt — Terms, Verification and Limits
Maren reads the parts of a sportsbook's terms that decide when you can be asked for ID, how much you can withdraw and which regulator stands behind the licence, and writes them down with the clause number.
Maren Holt writes the pages on verification, account limits and licences, and checks the payment pages Owen Treadgold writes. Her rule for the site is short: a rule about an operator goes on a page only with the clause it came from, and a figure an operator does not publish is written as not stated rather than estimated.
What Maren covers
- Verification triggers. When each operator's terms let it ask for documents: at a sum, at the first withdrawal, before any payout or at any time. These are the first three of the five checks behind the ratings.
- Deadlines and freezes. How long a player has to send documents, and what happens to the account meanwhile.
- Licences. The number each operator shows, the company in the register, and whether the two match. The results are on the offshore sportsbooks page.

How Maren works
She reads the full terms rather than the summary an operator puts in its FAQ, because the two often disagree. When they do, as with Rakebit's front-page FAQ on documents, the page prints both and names the terms as the contract. When an operator publishes a new version of a document, she re-reads the clauses this site cites and updates the numbers.
