BLAST Slam IX: Dota 2's Late-November Showdown
BLAST Slam IX brings sixteen Dota 2 teams together from 20 to 29 November 2026 for a $750,000 prize pool. Here is the format, what is confirmed about the field, how to approach the betting markets and where to watch.

BLAST Slam is one of the main third-party circuits in Dota 2, and its ninth edition closes the autumn: sixteen teams, a $750,000 prize pool and ten days from 20 to 29 November 2026. With The International already played in August, the Slam is one of the last big chances to see the top teams on the current patch before the end of the year.

Format

A GSL group is a small double-elimination bracket: two opening matches, a winners' match and an elimination match, then a decider. Each team plays at least two series, and a single defeat does not end a run.
The field
Sixteen teams from several regions take part. Natus Vincere, Team Nemesis and Dawn Bulls are among the teams confirmed so far; BLAST completes the field as invitations and qualifiers finish. This page will list the full field and the groups once they are announced.

How to bet on BLAST Slam IX
Patch first. By late November teams have had weeks on the current patch. Form on that patch is a better guide than results from earlier in the season.
GSL groups forgive one loss. As at any double-elimination event, a favourite that drops its opener is far from out, and its outright price falls less than it would in a single-elimination group.
Drafts in best-of-threes. Over three games, the team with the wider hero pool usually wins. Watch which heroes each team bans against the other in game one.
