LoL Worlds 2026: The Teams, the Swiss Stage and Where to Watch
Worlds 2026 brings nineteen League of Legends teams to the United States from 15 October to 14 November. Here are the qualified teams by region, how the play-in and Swiss stage work, what the betting market makes of the favourites, and where to watch every match.

The League of Legends World Championship is the biggest event in esports, and in 2026 it returns to the United States. Nineteen teams from six regions play from 15 October to 14 November, across Los Angeles, Allen in Texas and, for the final, the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. In the Swiss stage, three wins advance and three losses eliminate. Qualification and elimination matches are best-of-three; all other Swiss matches are best-of-one.

The play-in brings together Brazil's second seed and the third seeds from Asia-Pacific, North America and EMEA. One of the four joins the Swiss stage. T1 arrives as the three-time defending champion.

How to bet on Worlds 2026
Outright winner. Markets open long before the event and usually price the Korean and Chinese top seeds at the front. Outright prices move most after the Swiss stage, when the bracket is known.
Swiss best-of-ones. These are the most volatile matches of the tournament. A single draft can decide them, and favourites lose more often than in best-of-fives. Map handicaps do not exist in a best-of-one, so kill handicaps and totals take their place.
Elimination best-of-threes and knockouts. The longer the series, the more the stronger team's depth of champions shows. A team with a narrow champion pool is easier to beat over five games than over one.
Region against region. The play-in and Swiss stage are where regions meet for the first time in months. Teams from smaller regions arriving in strong form are where markets most often lag.
