Editorial Team: Two Editors and Seven Sport Analysts

Two editors read the terms behind every sportsbook on this site: one the verification, limits and licence clauses, the other deposits, withdrawals and coins. Seven analysts write the sport pages, each in one discipline, and every page is checked by an editor before it goes live.

This site is written by two editors, who divide the sportsbook documents between them, and seven analysts, each responsible for one group of sports. Every page names its author and the editor who checked it, and every figure on a page is checked against the clause it came from before the page goes live. The portraits on this site are illustrations, not photographs.

Maren Holt: terms, verification and limits

Maren reads each operator's terms, KYC and AML policies clause by clause, notes the clause number and the date, and re-reads them when an operator publishes a new version. She writes the pages on when an identity check can start, what sums and deadlines the terms set, and what the licence registers show. More about Maren.

Owen Treadgold: payments, crypto and withdrawals

Owen covers the cashier: which coins and networks each operator lists, what it asks before a withdrawal, how long a payout takes on paper and what the blockchain adds. He writes the pages on crypto betting, fast withdrawals and the casino side of each account. More about Owen.

The sport analysts

Each analyst writes the pages for one group of sports. Their predictions are labelled as estimates, a price they suggest is marked as our estimate whenever it is not a published market figure, and an editor checks the facts and dates before a page is published.

How a page is checked

  1. The author writes the page from the documents and adds the clause number to every rule.
  2. An editor who did not write the page opens each cited document and checks the figure and the clause.
  3. Anything that cannot be found in a current document is removed or marked as not stated.
  4. The date at the top of the page changes only when the content changes.

Corrections

If a figure on this site no longer matches an operator's current terms, the sources page lists the document and clause we used, so the difference is easy to find. The methodology page explains how the ratings are built.
