Esports Betting: How to Bet on CS2, Dota 2, LoL and Valorant
Esports betting sites price four games far more deeply than the rest: Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant. Here is how their markets work, what moves the odds, which tournaments fill the autumn of 2026 and where to watch a match while you bet on it.

Esports betting sites are sportsbooks that price professional video game matches the way they price football: a winner market, handicaps, totals and a long list of props, before the match and while it is played. The money is concentrated in four games. Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant have professional circuits that run all year, broadcast every match and publish enough results for a bookmaker to price them with confidence. Everything else is a smaller menu with lower limits.
This section of our guide to esports betting sites goes through those four games, the markets that matter in each, the tournaments that fill the rest of 2026, and the honest answer to where you can watch a match while you bet on it.

What an esports betting site actually offers
Strip away the branding and esports betting sites offer three layers of markets. The first is the match itself: who wins the series, by how many maps, and whether it goes the distance. The second is the map: who wins map one, how many rounds or kills it produces, and which team takes the first objective. The third is live betting, where prices move round by round or minute by minute while the match is broadcast.
The depth of each layer depends on the game and the tier. A Counter-Strike Major final carries dozens of markets and high limits; a second-division online qualifier may offer only a match winner and a map handicap. That difference is worth knowing before you bet, because a thin market is also one that is easier to move and harder to price correctly.
The four games that carry esports betting
| Game | Format you will usually bet on | Markets that matter most | What moves the price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Counter-Strike 2 | best-of-three, maps to 13 rounds | map winner, round handicap, total rounds | map pool, stand-ins, form on the specific map |
| Dota 2 | best-of-three or best-of-five, games of 30–50 minutes | game winner, total kills, game duration | patch changes, draft, roster form |
| League of Legends | best-of-five in playoffs, best-of-one in some group stages | series winner, map handicap, first dragon or baron | patch meta, side selection, regional strength |
| Valorant | best-of-three, maps to 13 rounds | map winner, round handicap, pistol rounds | agent meta, map veto, stand-ins |
Counter-Strike 2
The full guide is on our CSGO betting sites page. Counter-Strike is the deepest esports market and the one with the most searches: csgo betting sites is still a far larger query than any CS2 phrasing, even though Counter-Strike 2 replaced CS:GO in professional play in 2023. Each map is played to 13 rounds, with overtime at 12–12, and teams pick and ban maps from a pool of seven before the series. That veto is the most useful thing to read before a CS2 bet: a team that is excellent on two maps and ordinary on the rest can look very different depending on what is left after the bans.
Dota 2
See the Dota 2 betting page for the markets in detail. Dota 2 games are long and decided as much in the draft as in the play. Prices react strongly to patches, because one update can change which heroes are strong and which teams' styles suit the new version. The International, the game's biggest event, was played in August; the autumn calendar now runs through the big third-party circuits, with BLAST Slam IX scheduled for 20 to 29 November.
League of Legends
Our LoL betting page goes deeper. League of Legends is regional: teams from Korea, China, Europe and North America play their own leagues all year and meet only at international events. That makes the World Championship the most interesting betting event of the year, because it is the only time cross-region strength is tested directly. Worlds 2026 is scheduled for 15 October to 14 November in the United States.
Valorant
The Valorant betting page covers the markets. Valorant has the youngest professional circuit of the four and the most volatile prices. Teams change agent compositions often, rosters move between seasons, and pistol rounds swing maps more than in Counter-Strike. Valorant Champions 2026, the season's final event, runs in Shanghai until 18 October.

The four events below carry most of the betting interest for the rest of the year. Dates are the organisers' published schedules; check the official site of each event before you plan around a match.
| Event | Game | Dates | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Valorant Champions 2026 | Valorant | until 18 October | Shanghai |
| League of Legends World Championship 2026 | League of Legends | 15 October – 14 November | United States |
| BLAST Slam IX | Dota 2 | 20 – 29 November | announced by the organiser |
| PGL Major Singapore | Counter-Strike 2 | 25 November – 13 December | Singapore |
As each event approaches, this section adds previews of its key matches: expected lineups, recent form, what each team needs from the result, the prices we expect sportsbooks to open with, and where the match is broadcast.
How esports odds move, and how to read them
At esports betting sites, odds behave like football odds with the volume turned up. Three things move them more than anything else.
- Rosters. A stand-in replacing a regular player, often announced shortly before the match, can shift a price by several points. In a five-player team one absence matters more than in an eleven-player one.
- Patches. Dota 2, League of Legends and Valorant all update through the season. A team that thrived on the previous version may not on the new one, and the first matches after a patch are the hardest to price.
- Format. A best-of-one is close to a coin toss between teams of similar strength; a best-of-five rewards the stronger side. The same two teams can be 1.70 and 2.10 in a best-of-one and 1.40 and 2.90 in a best-of-five.
Because esports markets are smaller than football, less money is needed to move a price, and prices can stay wrong for longer. That cuts both ways: there is more value to find, and more risk that a sharp move tells you something you do not know. The best odds page explains how to compare margins before you bet.
Where to watch esports while you bet
Every top-tier esports event is broadcast free by its organiser. Riot Games streams League of Legends and Valorant on its official Twitch and YouTube channels, Counter-Strike Majors are streamed by the organiser, and Dota 2 events run official broadcasts in several languages. The official stream is the most reliable way to follow a match, with the lowest delay and no risk of the picture disappearing mid-map.
Some betting sites also show streams or live match trackers inside the account on selected events, so you can follow the match and the market on one screen. Which matches they cover differs from site to site and from event to event, so treat an in-account stream as a convenience rather than a promise. Unofficial restreams are not something this site links to.
Integrity: why the tier matters
Esports has had match-fixing cases, almost all of them in lower-tier matches where players earn little and markets are thin. Integrity bodies such as the Esports Integrity Commission monitor betting patterns and publish sanctions, and sportsbooks suspend markets when they see suspicious money. For a bettor the lesson is simple: the higher the tier, the more reliable the market. A Major playoff or a Worlds knockout match is watched by millions and priced by every bookmaker; an online qualifier between two little-known teams is neither.
The account behind an esports bet
An esports bet runs through the same account, wallet and terms as a football bet. If you deposit in crypto, the coins and networks each sportsbook accepts are compared on the crypto betting sites page, and how long a payout takes is on the fast withdrawal page. If you want to know when a sportsbook can ask for ID, the no verification betting sites ranking reads each one's terms clause by clause.
