Cricket Betting: Three Formats, Three Different Games to Price
Cricket betting is three sports in one. A Test can last five days and end in a draw, a one-day international is settled in a day, and a T20 is over in about three and a half hours. Here is how each format is priced, how rain and the toss change the odds, and which markets suit which game.

Cricket has the second-largest audience of any sport, and most of its betting comes from South Asia, the United Kingdom and Australia. What makes cricket betting different is the format. The same two teams can play a five-day Test, a fifty-over one-day international and a twenty-over T20 in the same month, and each one rewards a different kind of judgement.

The three formats
| Format | Length | Main result market | What drives the price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Test | Up to five days | Team A, team B or draw | Pitch wear, weather, the declaration |
| One-day international | 50 overs each | Two-way, tie rare | Batting depth, the middle overs |
| T20 | 20 overs each | Two-way, super over on a tie | Powerplay hitting, death bowling, the toss |
Tests are where the draw matters. A strong team can be the clear favourite and still be overtaken by the weather or a flat pitch. Test odds move session by session, and the draw shortens every time rain takes overs away.
One-day internationals sit in the middle. Fifty overs give the stronger side time to recover from a bad start, so favourites win more often than in T20.
T20 is the shortest and most volatile format. A single over can turn a match, which is why upsets are common and why live T20 prices move faster than in any other cricket.
The main cricket betting markets
- Match winner. Two-way in limited overs, three-way in Tests.
- Top batter and top bowler. Per team or for the match. Ties are settled by dead heat, which reduces the payout.
- Total runs. For an innings or the match, with lines that depend heavily on the ground.
- Session and over runs. Runs in a block of overs, such as the first six of a T20. Popular in India and Pakistan.
- Method of dismissal, fifties and centuries. Player specials, with wider margins.
- Series and tournament winner. Outrights, from a three-Test series to the IPL title.
Rain, the toss and the pitch
Rain. In limited-overs cricket, a match cut short by rain is usually decided by the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method, and match bets stand on that result. If no result is possible, match bets are normally void. Total runs bets are more fragile: overs lost change the line, so many sites void them when the innings is shortened. Read the cricket rules at your site before you bet on a wet day.
The toss. The captain who wins the toss chooses to bat or bowl, and the choice matters more in some conditions than others. In evening games, dew makes the ball wet and harder to grip for the side bowling second, so chasing becomes easier. Odds move straight after the toss for that reason.
The pitch. Grounds have reputations: flat pitches with short boundaries push totals up, turning pitches favour spin, green pitches help seamers. Total runs lines reflect the ground first and the teams second.
The IPL and other T20 leagues
The Indian Premier League is the biggest cricket betting event of the year. Ten franchises play a league phase and playoffs over about two months in spring, and every match carries a full set of markets, from the winner to runs in each over.
The Big Bash in Australia, the Pakistan Super League and other franchise leagues fill the calendar between internationals. Franchise cricket changes squads every year, so last season's form is a weaker guide than in international cricket, and early-season prices are the softest.

Cricket suits live betting because the information arrives slowly and in plain sight: every ball is a data point. Session markets reopen after each over, and the match odds react to every wicket. The usual caution applies. The stream you watch may be behind the live price, and bets placed after a wicket that the site already knows about will not stand.
Paying in crypto for cricket betting
For many cricket bettors, the cashier matters as much as the odds. The grid below shows the coins each site names in its own terms and cashier pages; a dash means the pages we read did not list coins, not that the site takes none.

The button in every row opens the same link: a sportsbook picked by this site for the country you visit from, not the operator named in the row.
Every site on this page lets you sign up and bet without sending documents first. Each one still names the point where documents can be requested, usually a withdrawal size; the home page ranking shows it for every site.
Leagues and tournaments
- IPL betting: the biggest franchise league, between seasons.
- T20 World Cup odds: the 2026 result and the next edition.
- Big Bash betting: BBL|16 in Australia from December.
Where to watch
Broadcasting rights for international cricket and the IPL are sold country by country, and the official broadcaster is the reliable picture. Some betting sites also show selected cricket to signed-in accounts; several of the sites we picked do, but the fixtures they carry differ.
More sports are on the sports betting hub, and the coins are compared in depth on the crypto betting sites page.
