Jiri Prochazka vs Navajo Stirling: Can the Former Champion Reload?
Jiri Prochazka, the former UFC light heavyweight champion, headlines in Qatar on 21 November 2026 against the unbeaten Navajo Stirling. His record, his unusual style and our price for a fight that is unlikely to reach the judges.
Jiri Prochazka held the UFC light heavyweight title in 2022, sits second in the division's rankings, and on 21 November 2026 he headlines a UFC Fight Night in Al Rayyan, Qatar, against the unbeaten New Zealander Navajo Stirling. It is his first fight since a first-round knockout loss to Carlos Ulberg for the vacant belt in April. Few records in the sport are as one-sided towards finishes: 31 of his 32 wins ended before the final bell, which shapes every market on this fight.

Career totals: 32 wins, 6 losses, 1 draw. The wins break down as 28 by knockout or TKO, 3 by submission and 1 by decision. Five of the six losses were stoppages by strikes and the other was a submission, so no judge has ever scored a fight against him.
What is known about Prochazka
The UFC lists his discipline as karate, and anyone who has watched him knows it is not conventional. He fights from a wide stance with his hands often low and leans on head movement, timing and reflexes in place of a tight guard. It produces highlight finishes, such as the spinning back elbow that knocked out Dominick Reyes, and it also lets opponents land.
His official statistics show the trade-off plainly. He lands 5.61 significant strikes per minute and absorbs 5.67, with 56 per cent accuracy and only 45 per cent strike defence. Put another way, he takes almost exactly as much as he gives. His knockdown average of 0.81 per 15 minutes is the reason that usually works in his favour. His fights last 10 minutes and 15 seconds on average.
He is dangerous late. Teixeira was submitted with 28 seconds left in the fifth round, and both 2025 wins, over Hill and Rountree, came in the third. The flip side is that his three most recent defeats all came in title fights and all inside two rounds, two of them to Alex Pereira.
On the mat he defends 68 per cent of takedowns, according to the UFC profile, and he rarely looks for the ground himself.
Prochazka vs Stirling: chances and why
Navajo Stirling was born on 7 November 1997 and will be 29 on fight night. He came to martial arts from rugby, trained in karate, moved into kickboxing and has been with City Kickboxing in Auckland since 2021. He is 11–0, with seven knockouts and four decisions, stands 6 ft 4 in with a 79-inch reach and is ranked fifth. His last four: a decision over Rodolfo Bellato in September 2025, then stoppages of Bruno Lopes and Ion Cuțelaba in round two and of Jan Błachowicz in round one in August 2026.
Our view: Stirling is the slight favourite. We put Prochazka's chance at 45 per cent, which is a fair price of about 2.22, and Stirling's at 55 per cent, about 1.82. That is our estimate, not a bookmaker price.
The case for Stirling:
- Damage taken. A fighter who absorbs 5.67 significant strikes per minute is facing a younger, rangy striker whose last three wins were all stoppages.
- The last fight. Prochazka was knocked out in the first round in April, his third stoppage loss in four title fights.
- Size parity. Stirling gives away only an inch of reach, so Prochazka loses the range advantage he usually has.
The case for Prochazka:
- Experience. Thirty-nine professional fights against Stirling's eleven, and four UFC title fights behind him.
- Power and pace late. He has finished opponents in rounds three and five, and a main event gives him five rounds to do it.
- The step up. Stirling has not yet faced a former champion who is still ranked in the top three.
How to bet on Jiri Prochazka
Moneyline. At our numbers, Prochazka is worth backing only above roughly 2.22. Our odds calculator shows the implied chance of whatever price you are offered.
Method. This is where his record speaks loudest. With 28 knockout wins and five knockout defeats, “Prochazka by KO/TKO” and “Stirling by KO/TKO” are the two outcomes that matter; a decision for either man is the long shot. Prochazka's three submission wins make “by submission” a small but real outside chance.
Fight goes the distance. One decision in 39 professional fights means “No” will be priced short. If you want value, round betting on a specific finishing round pays far more than the distance market.
Total rounds. Five scheduled rounds, and both men stop people. The under on 2.5 suits the view that someone gets caught early; Prochazka's late finishes are the argument for the over.
Live. His fights swing quickly. Our in-play betting guide explains why the one-minute break between rounds is the best moment to act.
Where to watch
The Qatar card is shown on the UFC's own streaming platform and by the national broadcasters that hold UFC rights, which differ from country to country. Some betting sites also stream a selection of fights to logged-in customers beside their markets; the sites we chose include that feature, though which UFC cards they carry is not consistent from one site to the next.
More UFC profiles
The heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane and the middleweight contender Caio Borralho both fight at UFC 334 a week before Jiri Prochazka goes to Qatar. Markets common to every card, from total rounds to late replacements, are on our UFC betting page.
