UEFA Nations League 2026-27: League A tables, November fixtures and our prices
Portugal are already through to the quarter-finals with two rounds to spare. Spain lead England, France lead Belgium, and the Netherlands and Greece are level on points. Here is the format, the League A tables as of 5 October 2026 and our view on the matches that decide the groups in November.
The Nations League is easy to dismiss and hard to price. Coaches rotate, some matches carry little at stake, and a defeat costs a federation little beyond a seeding. Yet six of the sixteen League A sides will be relegated or sent to a play-off, eight go on to the quarter-finals, and the table rewards goal difference. Our Nations League predictions start from those stakes, group by group, rather than from the names on the shirts.

How the 2026–27 competition works
Fifty-four national teams are split into four divisions. Leagues A, B and C have sixteen teams each, drawn into four groups of four. League D has six teams in two groups of three. Every team meets each group opponent home and away, so sides in the top three leagues play six matches and League D sides play four.
The league phase runs from 24 September to 17 November 2026 over six matchdays:
- Matchdays 1 to 4: 24 September to 6 October 2026, inside FIFA's merged autumn window
- Matchday 5: 12 to 14 November 2026
- Matchday 6: 15 to 17 November 2026
In League A the top two in each group reach the quarter-finals, played over two legs from 25 to 30 March 2027. A group winner meets a runner-up from another group and hosts the second leg. The four winners go to the Nations League Finals, played as semi-finals on 9 and 10 June 2027 and a final and third-place match on 13 June. We could not confirm the Finals venue in the sources we checked.
Promotion and relegation matter more than usual this season. From 2028–29 the competition shrinks to three leagues of eighteen teams, so 2026–27 is the last edition with a League D. To get there, UEFA rebalanced the movement between divisions: every League D team goes up, the League B and C group winners go up, and only the two worst fourth-placed teams in League A drop straight down. The two best fourth-placed teams and the two worst third-placed teams in League A face League B runners-up in March play-offs.
There is also a route to Euro 2028. The best-ranked Nations League group winners that fail to qualify through the normal groups enter the play-offs in March 2028. That matters most in Leagues B to D, where a group win can be worth a tournament place, and it is why Nations League predictions for the lower divisions should weigh motivation heavily.
League A tables as of 5 October 2026
These tables are the starting point for our Nations League predictions. Groups 2 and 4 have played four matches. Groups 1 and 3 have played three, with their fourth round on 5 and 6 October.

What the autumn told us
Group 1. France won 1–0 in İzmit and 1–0 in Brussels, then drew 1–1 with Italy at the Stade de France. Belgium opened with a 2–0 win in Rome and beat Turkey 3–0 in Liège. Italy recovered from that defeat with a 4–1 win in Bursa. Turkey have one goal in three games.
Group 2. The tightest group. The Netherlands drew 1–1 with Germany in Amsterdam and 2–2 in Thessaloniki, and won twice against Serbia. Greece won 2–1 in Belgrade and 1–0 in Augsburg, then held Germany 0–0. Germany have scored three goals in four matches.
Group 3. Spain won 3–2 at Wembley on the opening weekend, then beat Croatia 4–1 in Seville and the Czech Republic 3–1 in Oviedo. England answered with a 2–0 win in Prague and a 7–0 win in Rijeka, Croatia's heaviest defeat. England's goal difference is already better than Spain's.
Group 4. Portugal beat Wales 1–0, won 2–1 in Oslo, won 4–2 in Copenhagen and beat Norway 2–1 in Porto. Twelve points from twelve puts them in the quarter-finals. Norway beat Denmark 3–2 on the first night and have lost three since.
The fixtures still to come
All kick-offs below are UK time. On 5 October France host Belgium at the Stade de France and Italy play Turkey in Bologna, both at 19:45. On 6 October Croatia meet Spain in Split and England host the Czech Republic at Wembley, again at 19:45. A Spain win in Split would leave them needing very little from November, and we will update our Nations League predictions for Group 3 after it.
In November the groups finish over two rounds. The key games on matchday 5: England v Croatia and Italy v France on Thursday 12 November, the Netherlands v Greece and Serbia v Germany on Friday 13 November, Portugal v Denmark on Saturday 14 November. On matchday 6: Spain v England and Belgium v Italy on Sunday 15 November, Germany v the Netherlands on Monday 16 November and Denmark v Norway on Tuesday 17 November.
Our Nations League predictions for November
These are opinions. The price column is our estimate of fair decimal odds for each pick, not a bookmaker price; if you are offered less, we see no value. Our Nations League predictions assume no major injury news, so check the squads named in early November before you bet.
| Fixture | Date, UK kick-off | Our pick | Expected price (estimate) |
|---|---|---|---|
| England v Croatia, Wembley | Thu 12 Nov, 19:45 | England -1.5 Asian handicap | around 1.90 |
| Netherlands v Greece, Amsterdam | Fri 13 Nov, 19:45 | Netherlands to win | around 1.75 |
| Serbia v Germany, Belgrade | Fri 13 Nov, 19:45 | Germany to win | around 1.65 |
| Portugal v Denmark, Braga | Sat 14 Nov, 19:45 | Both teams to score | around 1.80 |
| Belgium v Italy, Brussels | Sun 15 Nov, 19:45 | Under 2.5 goals | around 1.85 |
| Spain v England, Madrid | Sun 15 Nov, 19:45 | Both teams to score | around 1.70 |
England v Croatia. England won the reverse fixture by seven. Croatia will defend deeper at Wembley, which is why we take -1.5 rather than a bigger line. Read the Asian handicap explainer if the settlement of -1.5 is new to you.
Netherlands v Greece. Level on eight points, with the head-to-head still open after 2–2 in Thessaloniki. Greece have conceded three in four, but the Dutch at home have the stronger attack. Our view: home win.
Serbia v Germany. Serbia have lost four out of four and Germany need points. A win in Belgrade would set up a decider in Berlin three days later. Germany have not scored freely, so we stay on the result rather than a handicap.
Portugal v Denmark. Portugal are through, and a point here would settle top spot. Denmark conceded four at home to Portugal and scored two. We expect goals at both ends again; the BTTS guide explains how that market is priced.
Belgium v Italy and Spain v England. Two matches that may settle second place in Group 1 and first place in Group 3. Belgium have conceded once in three matches and won 2–0 in Rome, so we lean under 2.5 goals. Spain and England met in a five-goal match in September, and both sides have scored freely since. For a goal-based view of your own, the Poisson calculator does the maths.
If you combine these picks, the acca calculator shows how the return grows and how the margin compounds with each leg.

The outright market prices the eight quarter-finalists before half of them are known. Spain are world champions and lead their group. Portugal won the 2025 Finals and are the only side already through. France and England lead or sit second in their groups and reached the World Cup semi-finals. Those four should take most of the money.
| Team | Our fair price (estimate, not a bookmaker price) |
|---|---|
| Spain | 4.50 |
| Portugal | 6.00 |
| France | 6.50 |
| England | 7.00 |
| Netherlands | 13.00 |
| Germany | 17.00 |
| Belgium | 17.00 |
| Italy | 29.00 |
Our view on value: wait for the quarter-final draw. The two-legged ties in March remove four of the eight, and a group winner gets the second leg at home. Of the leading sides, England look the most likely to finish second in their group and face a group winner, which is a reason to prefer them after March rather than now. Our Nations League predictions on the outright will be updated once the groups end on 17 November.
Where to watch the Nations League
Nations League matches are shown by national broadcasters that buy UEFA rights in each country, and the rights holder changes from market to market. UEFA's own site publishes the full fixture list, kick-off times and match reports.
Some sportsbooks also stream a share of international matches to customers who are logged in, usually next to the in-play market. We have chosen sites where that option exists, but which games appear depends on the site and on where you are, so look at the schedule a day ahead.
More on national teams and club football
For the wider calendar, including AFCON 2027 and the Euro 2028 draw, see international football betting. The football hub covers the core markets. The players in these squads return to the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A a few days after the window closes, and prices for those rounds often move on fitness news from the break. Before staking on a midweek international, check the margin with the odds calculator.
